Culture.

Italian culture lives in very different places: in the cities that become capitals of culture each year, in the lecture halls and laboratories of a university, in the three million negatives of a Roman photographic archive.

The Italian capitals of culture 2015.

In 2015 the title of Italian Capital of Culture went to five cities at once: Cagliari, Lecce, Perugia, Ravenna and Siena, the finalists in the race to be European Capital of Culture 2019, won by Matera. Five cities in just over a minute: Cagliari from above, the baroque of Lecce, Perugia's Fontana Maggiore, the mosaics of Ravenna, Siena's cathedral and Piazza del Campo.
